Tour plans

Day 1: the longtail boat crossing

We head for Koh Lipe, a corner of paradise in the Andaman Sea, for colourful coral reefs and the islands around it.

  1. Pick-up from Ao Nang or Krabi town. We reach the pier at about 06:30.

  2. The boat departs at 11:30.

  3. Departure by speedboat for Koh Lipe. In high season the boat stops at Koh Tarutao and at the rock arch of Koh Khai for photographs.

  4. Arrival at Koh Lipe. The staff of the Bundhaya Resort will meet you and help you check in.

In the evening — the beach in front of the resort, or a walk down Koh Lipe Walking Street, five minutes away, where the street restaurants serve Thai food worth staying out for.

Day 2: snorkelling trip — coral reefs and the islands nearby (by longtail boat)

  1. Breakfast at the resort restaurant (meal 1).

  2. Everyone gathers and boards the longtail boat. You are given snorkelling gear and life jackets.

  3. The first snorkelling stop — the Jabang channel, with its famous seven-colour coral. Then on to Koh Hin Ngam, a beach of smooth black pebbles against shimmering water.

  4. A stop at Koh Yang, to snorkel over the lettuce coral. Then ashore at White Sand Beach on Koh Ravi — time on the beach and a packed lunch (meal 2).

  5. More snorkelling at Koh Adang: staghorn coral, and shoals of parrotfish and clownfish.

  6. Back by boat to Pattaya beach in front of the Bundhaya. The rest of the time is yours. In the evening there is dinner on the beach and a fire show.

Day 3: goodbye to Koh Lipe — have a safe journey home.

  1. Breakfast at the resort restaurant (meal 3).

  2. Packing and checking out. The hotel tuk-tuk takes you to the port. Have your boat ticket ready at the boarding point.
