Koh Jum is a small island in Krabi province. It is not well known, because it is quiet — which makes it exactly right for slowing down, getting away from the city and being properly outdoors.
When people think of Krabi province they usually mean Koh Lanta, Koh Phi Phi or Koh Hong. But how many know Koh Jum? It is a small island and close to a hidden gem: a small community of very likeable people, bamboo houses and a fishing-village feel, with photographs at every turn. The sunsets here are extraordinary, and the orange light on the blue sea does the rest.

Arrival at the pier for the boat to Koh Jum.
A tuk-tuk ride to a local restaurant.
Lunch. Local cooking, in a restaurant with real character.
Exploring the scenery and viewpoints on a natural trail across Koh Pu, through dense forest. A photo stop at a café by the sea, a look at the fishing village on Koh Pu, and a drive along the north coast where you see everyday Thai life and the fishing harbour. Then a tuk-tuk to Sunset Beach on the west coast — fine viewpoints, clear water, and a good place to swim.
A visit to the famous hidden reggae bar on Koh Jum. This wooden bar built on a rocky beach is a friendly place for a drink and the cool sea breeze. It is also one of the best spots on the island to watch the sun go down.
Back to the mainland by boat, about 45 minutes.
Arrival at the pier and the ride back to your accommodation.
