We meet you in Surat Thani province, at the Cheow Lan Dam pier.
A longtail boat ride through the limestone scenery around Ratchaprapha lake. We reach Guilin (Khao Sam Klo), where three pointed limestone peaks stand in a row. There is beauty hidden under the water here too — before the dam was built there was a temple and a cemetery on this spot.
Lunch at a raft house, and time for swimming or kayaking.
On by longtail boat. A walk through the forest to see the rare plants and wildlife of Khlong Saeng — with luck, hornbills, monkeys or other animals. Walking the raft lets you take in the emerald green of the lake and the limestone peaks reaching into the cloud. About 10 minutes further on is the entrance to the Coral Cave. Inside are remarkable stalactites and stalagmites shaped like coral, between 250 and 400 million years old — this is believed to have been an ancient sea. The conditions inside are perfect and the cave itself is very clean.
Arrival at the Cheow Lan Dam pier and the journey home. There are souvenirs and local products for sale at the pier.
