The programme may change because of wild animals, for example wild elephants.
This is outside our control.
Hotel pick-up.
A Thai longtail boat ride to the hotel — a large floating raft with rooms and a restaurant.
Arrival at the hotel, check in and free time.
Lunch (meal 1). Note: for groups of 2–4 the boat is shared with another group.
Back on the boat to Guilin — the mountain peaks rising out of the water, and the best photographs of the day. Their name is Khao Sam Klao. The order of the programme may change depending on when you arrive. You will see the forest, the water caves and the mountains from a bamboo raft. Along the way there is walking, through great stands of bamboo and tall jungle trees of every kind. Then we reach the Coral Cave, where concentrated lime-rich water and the air inside have built stalactites shaped like coral, and where the limestone holds fossils of single-celled sea creatures from 250 to 400 million years ago. There is free time for photographs.
Back to the floating raft.
Dinner (meal 2) and free time.
Morning safari — a boat ride out into the early mist.
Breakfast (meal 3) and free time.
Check out of the raft house and the journey back.
Arrival at the Bang Thong temple, one of the oldest in Krabi province, built around 1940.
A safe ride back to your hotel.
