Chiang Mai Camp (2 days, 1 night)
Camping in the forest is an adventure and about as close to nature as you can get — the right excuse to leave the noise behind for a day.
A day that has it all: caring for the elephants, time with a local community, a calm bamboo raft ride and waterfalls to finish.

Waterfall + elephant care + bamboo rafting + a Karen village
Culture, adventure and the outdoors in one day. This full day in northern Thailand runs from caring for the elephants and time with a local
community, to a calm bamboo raft ride and the waterfalls at the end.
Each part of it takes you closer to what makes Thai culture and this landscape what they are, and it is a day you will remember.
Meeting your driver.
The trip includes pick-up in central Chiang Mai. Please note that pick-up outside Chiang Mai is possible but may carry an extra charge.
A visit to our elephant sanctuary
Caring for the elephants. The day starts at the elephant sanctuary, where you learn about elephant conservation and get to spend time with them.
With the keepers alongside you, you feed and look after the elephants, offering them fruit such as bananas and sugar cane. You can also help bathe them in the river nearby,
which is good fun and the fastest way to get on terms with them. Joining in their day is how you come to understand how they behave and why protecting them
matters.
A picnic out in the open, with the sound of a waterfall behind it, is hard to beat.
Simple, good food — local dishes, fresh fruit and snacks — and a comfortable spot near the waterfall.
A picnic by a waterfall is not only about the food; it is a chance to step out of the everyday, take in the quiet and get your strength back in one of the most peaceful places there is.
Bamboo rafting
After your time with the elephants, a calm trip down a quiet river on a bamboo raft. The rafts are made by local people
and are a fine way to see the landscape of northern Thailand.
The Karen village
Then a visit to a local Karen village, to learn about the culture and traditions of the Karen, one of Thailand's indigenous peoples. You will see their everyday life:
traditional houses, hand-woven cloth and how they farm. The Karen are known for a strong sense of community and a deep connection to the land. There is a chance to talk
to people in the village, hear about their traditions, and buy good handicrafts and souvenirs.
A visit to the waterfall
The day ends at a beautiful waterfall. Cool off and freshen up. Spend some time by the water, in the pools, or
simply take in what is around you.
Back to your hotel, with a day worth remembering.
